A total of 1,910 American soldiers were killed and thousands more wounded in the fighting, according to SIGAR. Meanwhile, some senior US officials have said that the war in Afghanistan may not be over yet. According to sources, the United States wants to start attacks on Afghanistan. Sources added that the US wants to reach an agreement with Pakistan so that the US can launch attacks in Afghanistan through Pakistani airports.

In addition, 415 other US troops have died of natural causes in Afghanistan. SIGAR also released casualty figures for Afghan forces in the war in Afghanistan yesterday. Between 60,000 and 70,000 Afghan troops have been killed in the past 20 years, the agency said.
