According to recent reports, the police in Pakistan have confirmed that more than 80 Christian homes and 19 churches were set on fire by angry Muslim groups in the city of Jaranwala in Punjab. The incident took place on Wednesday when some Muslims accused two Christians of insulting the Holy Quran. The situation escalated quickly as the Muslim community started attacking the homes of the Christians. Fortunately, the Christians had left their homes before the attack. The police have arrested 128 Muslims and two Christians in connection with the incident. In order to prevent further attacks, the police visited 3,200 Christian churches in the Punjab state.
